We have beautiful toilets, hot showers, a drying room, a barn to cook in and socialise in around the log burner, all set in a stunning location. Stay with us and discover this unique gem for yourself - we are picky about who stays, but if you're on one of our courses you get all this for £21/night. If you want to come with your club or group, or want to book a longer stay in the summer please get in touch and ask. We look forward to seeing you xx

We have:

  • a purpose-built toilet block
  • cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils
  • a gas BBQ with hotplate and side ring
  • wood burner, sofas, board games in the barn
  • two cosy trailers with bunk beds and wood burners/fan heaters
  • small fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and electric hob
  • outdoor tables and chairs, and giant beanbags
  • lovely warm showers and drying area

You’ll need to bring:

  • a sleeping bag and something to sleep on. The beds in the cabins only have basic bed frames, mattresses and pillows so you’ll
need a sleeping mat of some sort and a sleeping bag. Please don’t sleep on the sofas in the barn
  • a head torch

We’re confident that you’ll love the barn and cabins, but hope you’re clear that it’s still a bit of a work in progress. We are improving things all the time, but the lack of final readiness is reflected in the cheap-ish price at the moment: £21/person per night.

We also supply good quality firewood at £3 per bag.

For a bit of a treat you can use the spa down the road at the Wild Pheasant hotel in Llangollen for £10.

To find Ty’n yr Ardd:

  1. Go through Carrog village between Llangollen and Corwen, signposted off the A5.
  2. Take a right on the Bryneglwys road, which goes between the school (on your R) and the churchyard (on your L).
  3. After about half a mile Ty’n yr Ardd will be on your right (you’ll see the stone barn and decking and perhaps a Getafix van, trailer of canoes etc).
  4. Please park on the downhill (keep the white garage door clear) and come up the steps to the barn or make yourself known at the house at the top of the garden.
  5. The postcode is LL21 9LB, but this takes you about 200 yards too far on SatNav.

N.B. We have a Collie dog, 3 cats and 2 children, all quite free-range. If you want to bring your menagerie with you please ask, or if you’re nervous of dogs (cats or children) let us know and we’ll try to keep them in the house.
